Wenzhou No. 21 Middle School is a public comprehensive middle school directly under the Wenzhou Municipal Education Bureau. Its predecessor was Nanjiao Middle School of Lucheng District. In 2014, it was recognized by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education as a "Characteristic Demonstration School of Second-Class Ordinary High Schools in Zhejiang Province". In 2015, it was awarded the title of "Model Collective of Wenzhou City". In 2018, it was rated as a "Demonstration School of Digital Campus in Zhejiang Province" by the Zhejiang Provincial Department of Education. In 2019, it was recognized as an experimental school for the Precision Teaching Project in Zhejiang Province. In December 2020, the school's "Personalized Learning Based on Big Data" was selected as one of the top ten samples of classroom reform in China by China Teacher News. In 2021, it was awarded as an advanced collective in educational research and scientific research in Zhejiang Province, an outstanding school for teacher development in Zhejiang Province, and a "Clean School" in Wenzhou City. The school is located beside Bailuzhou by the Nantang River in the urban area of Wenzhou, adjacent to the national 4A-level tourist attraction "Impression Nantang" Cultural and Leisure tourism Area. The campus covers an area of nearly 150 mu, with a total construction area of 55,344.99 square meters. The campus green area reaches 29,523.68 square meters, with a green coverage rate of 37.35%. It has been rated as a green school in Zhejiang Province. The school's modern educational facilities and equipment are of first-class level. It is well-equipped with sports and art facilities such as gymnasiums, performance centers, football fields, tennis courts, and badminton courts.
